Rock, Snow and Ice
As it has been a precipitous winter in Fort Collins, I discovered some Ice that probably rarely comes in on the lower left flank of the Arthur's rock complex. I was curious to see how the first section climbed....next thing I knew, I was in the thick of it and had to finish the damned thing, as it was probably safer to keep going than to down climb. Nonetheless, it was absolutely, the most worthy free solo of my ice climbing career. I thought it was fitting to name this climb " Too Scared To Downclimb". The crux's were fifteen feet up and at the very top as the water source just disappears.
