Rock, Snow and Ice
West Gulley is a classic climb in RMNP. 600 feet of ice that protects well with ice screws. The second pitch is the crux of the climb with several variations rangeing in diffuculty. I personally feel the climb deserves a rateing of WI3+ instead of WI4. Nonetheless, This is a beautiful venue in a remote area in RMNP. The descent is marginally scetchy for the walk off. Rapping the route on solid V-Threads is recommended.
