Born in 1938, Layton Kor, a brick layer by trade, enriched the climbing arena with his numerous first ascents throughout the western United States and Europe . Kor, with his perfect climbing physique and uncanny knack for discovering bold and beautiful lines, blessed the climbing world with a 3 hour slideshow and narrative of his life climbing. A truly wonderful evening, rich with funny and sad stories alike. He spoke softly with a humble demeanor and humerous conjectures, praising partners frequently and bringing little attention to his own brilliant accomplishments. Layton Kor has definately made his mark on this earth and will always carry legendary status in the small world of climbing. I wish him all the best with his medical issues.
